Some Links

Wondering what a 12 year old McDonald’s hamburger looks like?  Remarkably similar to a fresh one. What’s even more remarkable is reading the roughly 300 comments that collectively tear this poor woman (who goes by the nickname “Mother Earth”) a new hamburger hole.

And also… Brent Spiner’s 1991 album Ol’ Yellow Eyes is Back.  From the WTF file: this is extremely bizarre and even features fellow Star Trek NGers singing backup.

Data: “What is this strange feeling I’m experiencing Captain?”

Capt Picard: “That is what we humans call shame… your album sucks ass”

17c7a9 had a dream

posted September 20, 2008 in Interweb

I can’t help but be somewhat happy/flattered that spambots have discovered I had a dream.  I launched the site in early 2008 and apart from an initial flurry of posts it’s been pretty quiet on the dream front.  I can only assume that nobody is having dreams anymore. Imagine my surprise when I received 31 reports of innapropriate content from such concerned bots as klhgyvcujj, vgcyrkrbwe, and mwwvnumm.  Apparently inane human dreams are incredibly offensive to robots.  I’m just glad that they’ve taken the opportunity to communicate their displeasure to me through the proper channels.  Remarkably, one spambot has even felt inspired enough to share it’s own dream on the site.  I’d like to thank them for that.

ChartAttacked

posted September 10, 2008 in Interweb / Music

I’m probably the last person to notice this because I had all but given up on the old site but the new ChartAttack is FINALLY online.  I swear they’ve been pumping this up for like a year and a half at least in every issue… coming soon, my ass.  New site looks good though - not quite as dead simple (i.e. made in 2000) as the old one but looks like it’s got some snazzy new features like commenting and RSS feeds.  Hot diggity dawg!

Now I must go create an account so I can indicate which stories I love and hate.
