Check out this Shepard Fairey-inspired guerrilla campaign Frightening Prospect that aims to take some the wind out of Sarah Palin’s sails leading up to the election. Good stuff.
It’s nice to see Governer Palin doing her own part to reduce her campaign to a joke. Way to pitch in!
Mish and I went to go see Religulous last night. If you’re not familiar with the film it’s a Bill Maher (Politically Incorrect) docu-comedy poking fun at the absurdity of organized religion… as in ALL OF THEM.
There’s no two ways about it — this movie is pissing a LOT of people off. It takes serious balls to question people’s beliefs. Respect to Bill Maher for pulling it off so well.
Whether you’re Jewish, Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Scientologist, Egyptian Orthodox or an atheist… just go see this movie. There’s no way you can watch this and not be moved. Regardless of whether you agree with Maher or not (and judging by the totally-uncommon-for-non-Star-Wars-movies applause that ripped through the theatre last night when the movie ended, I’d say most people did) you’ll be talking and thinking about this when it’s over and that’s what good art is all about.
(For the record, I was one of the many “rationalists” who applauded).
