Lost Season Finale… Tonight!

posted May 29, 2008 in Lost

So the big 2 hour season finale episode airs in just a few short hours. Fully expecting they’ll choose tonight reveal Widmore’s distant kinship to Doc Brown and finally introduce the Delorean into the mix. That’ll have us all scratching our heads for a good week or two as we slowly ease into Lost withdrawal and are forced to reacquaint ourselves with lesser-quality shows like Heroes and Shot at Love 2.

Since we’ll be without new Lost episodes for the next 8 or 9 months and I don’t really have anything better to do the idea had crossed my mind to maybe go back and re-watch some of the old seasons. I bet I’d pick up on a bunch of stuff I missed the first go around. Those trivial little details (at the time) that might have hinted at something bigger. (”Why did Kate pick up that box of crackers with her left hand? Isn’t she right-handed? Of course. This must be Kate’s clone.”) That’s just one off the top of my head I’m sure I didn’t catch when it first aired. The only thing left to decide whether this is a useful way to spend my free time in the summer. Possibly not.

Holy Crap…

Oh, man. This week’s Lost was primo.  Just finished watching it and now I can’t wait for parts 2 and 3 of the season finale next week.  It’s going to rot ass waiting 8 months or however long it is for season 5 — especially considering how good it’s been since the writers’ strike.

Some interesting developments tonight: an army of others captures Kate and Sayid (I’m sure they’re executing some ridiculous plan Ben cooked up), Sun sticks it to her asshole Dad by taking controlling interest of his company (not something you would have seen the pre-crash Sun doing), and Locke is about to move the island… whatever the hell that means.

And who piled all that C4 on the freighter?  Son of a bitch there was a lot.  Maybe Keemy put it there so he could dispose of the boat after he’d captured Ben on the island?  I can see him doing that… based on his track record of annihilating every person and thing that doesn’t help him achieve his objective of obtaining Ben.

Next week is the new Indiana Jones AND the season finale of Lost!  It’s like Christmas times a billion!  In May!

Anybody else seen Iron Man yet?  Catch Tom Morello in it?  He’s the first insurgent that Iron Man obliterates in the cave.  I see on his Wikipedia page that Tom also starred in an episode of Star Trek: Voyageur… he really is the ultimate guitarist!

Lost: Time Loop Theory

posted April 29, 2008 in Lost

Lost fans should check out Jason Hunter’s Theory on Time Travel site. Jason’s theory attempts to explain (most) of what’s happened in the show so far and even suggests what will happen in the upcoming seasons as the series winds down. Even if he’s completely wrong — and I don’t think that’s possible, given his rather convincing arguments — it’s totally fascinating.

Warning: Make sure you’re fully caught up before checking it out because it does contain a lot of spoilers.
